You're Here, Have Fun

Besides coming to the farm and perhaps picnicking and picking yourself several bags of our ecologically grown apples, there is a lot to do in the area. While at the farm, you'll see parachutes drifting towards the ground. Blue Sky Ranch, home to sky divers, is a mile away and the Shawangunk Mountains are great for hiking and climbing. Mohonk Preserve, Minnewaska State Park, are both close to the farm up on the mountain.

Go shopping in New Paltz. The Rambling Rose, 73 Main Street - 255-3899, is a great shop for women. Hand Made and Up Front both have great stuff

Gardiner has antique stores and you can ride your bike or hike on the Rail Trail, a path made on an old railroad track. It runs from Gardiner to New Paltz and there are some great art shows on the bridge every so often. Tour the wineries, stay at a beautiful bed and breakfast - the Hudson Valley is an easy day trip from the New York City area and a great week-end get away.
