So How's Your Health?
If you're one of the many millions suffering with heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, you definitely
need apples. The old saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" may be true.
Your doctor may have suggested a low carb, high protein diet and you're worried which carbs to eat. Your doctor may have also
suggested that your carbs come from food found low on the glycemic index (how fast the food is absorbed and changed into sugar, low
is better than high).
After all, you've got to
get your vitamins and minerals somewhere and eating fresh fruits and veggies is so much more interesting than taking vitamins pills.
Veggies are not so difficult, but fruit is. Let's analyze some fruit together.

Remember that eating food that's low on the Glycemic Index is better for you, demands less insulin which in turn produces
less body fat, causing the insulin you produce to work more effectively in your body. So check the lowest six fruits (cherries, pears, apples, plums and peaches) on the chart above and you'll
find all that stuff grown HERE on our farm (except the grapefruit, of course). You need to eat 2 - 4 pieces of fruit a day to follow
a healthy diet. All these fruits are lower than most cereals, breads, chips and all the fast food you can think of. They also
contain vitamins your body requires to stay healthy. Wright's Apple Farm, the home of the healthy snack!!
