Here are the answers to your most important questions!

#1. Can I use my GPS?

If you want to get here, DON'T USE YOUR GPS! We don't know why, but our address won't work. Print out this map or go to our directions page. How to get to Wright's Farm without your GPS for the easiest way.

#1B New Question that everyone asks! Can I Come and Pick Apples After Holloween?

You can come and BUY apples in the farm market. There may be some apples left on the trees, but we can't guarantee it. This is how nature works. Even though you see apples in the stores year round, they are actually picked only in September and October in the Northern Hemisphere (that where all of us live except for Australians, South Americans and Africans). God chooses when we get to pick apples, we have no influence over the picking of apples. If you can't rearrange your schedule to coincide with HIS plans, you can still buy apples and forgo picking them for this year and perhaps plan to pick next year when HE intends for you to do it. Just try to keep in mind that we don't have the ability to influence this procedure, even if you call us up and ask. We really can't do it!!! Honest!

#2. Can I Bring a Dog?

If you don't actually own one, maybe you should consider acquiring one for the day! They run and play and eat the apples and in general improve the sheer joy of your quiet, country, adventure on our 500 acres. Please don't call us to inquire if this is a real statement. And if you just come with the dog, without calling, we'll take your picture and post it on our web site! Remember, no calling for a dog pic on the web site!

#3. Is There an Entrance Fee?

NO! Apple picking is $9 for each adult entering the orchard and we give you a bag to fill with apples. Children 3 to 10 are $4.50 and are given a smaller bag for apple picking. We assume all persons entering the orchard are apple pickers and charge EVERYONE! If someone in your party just came for the ride they will be charged the $9 fee anyway. So please understand our position. No one can enter the orchard without pre-paying even if they swear they will not touch an apple!

#4. Do I Need Reservations?

No but if you are coming in a bus or large van we need to know. Buses won't make it over the hill and into the orchard. Just call 845-255-5300 to give us a head count. Click here!

#5 What do I wear?

Dress to pick and have fun. Sneakers, jeans, sweat or t-shirts.

#6 What do You Have For the Kids?

We have 500 acres to play on. Bring all necessary equipment for football, biking, hiking, playing frizbee etc. We have a strong play ethic that tells us that kids can figure out how to play without adult intervention. Hence, no corn mazes or petting zoos (we figure if the kid can catch it, he can pet it) and we don't recommend the swans. We have lots of wildlife in our lakes and orchards including swans, woodchucks, herons, bees, bugs and deer.

#7 Can I Bring a Grill?

Absolutely! People really love to have elaborate spreads in the orchard and that includes cooking.

#7 Please send us all the literature you have on your farm and fun things to do in the area!

This is a farm, not a publishing company. Its all we can do to write this web site. We are poor farmers, not people who have literature! We go out on tractors and mow and trim and pick stuff, plus worry constantly about the weather and if its going to rain or hail and ruin the crops. We HATE writing anything. Besides, a good percentage of us have stopped reading permanently, so don't ask for written stuff! Also, you guys have not been READING! This website has everythng you'll ever need to know. Please just read IT!
